I enjoy taking my sketchbook out and about and using different media as it helps to keep my work loose and fresh.

Using intense block crayons is, I find, quite liberating and a good way of not getting too bogged down with fiddly details.

Also, sometimes I will sketch standing up... another useful way to try and keep some energy in my drawings.

In terms of subject matter, I love to sketch anything, whatever happens to inspire me, but among my favourite things to draw are trees... there is something so therapeutic and relaxing about sketching them.
